Steel Price Update on September 20th: Prices Rise Again, Breaking the Streak of 19 Consecutive Price Reductions

After a prolonged period of continuous price reductions since the beginning of September, September 19th witnessed a simultaneous price adjustment from domestic steel brands. This development has garnered significant attention and concern from both consumers and the construction industry.

 Major steel brands such as Viet Australia, Kyoei, Pomina, and Southern Steel have all announced price increases for their steel products, starting from September 19th. Here are some specific details regarding the price adjustments:

1. Viet Australia Steel (Vinausteel):

   - D10-Gr40 steel rod: Increase of 100,000 VND per ton.

   - D12 – CB300 steel rod: Increase of 50,000 VND per ton.

   - Effective date: From September 19, 2023.

 2. Kyoei Vietnam Steel Co., Ltd. and NatsteelVina Co., Ltd.:

   - Project steel (CB400V, CB500V, CB300V): Price increase of 100 VND per kilogram.

   - Effective date: From September 21, 2023 (for Kyoei Vietnam Steel Co., Ltd.)

                     From September 20, 2023 (for NatsteelVina Co., Ltd.)

 3. Pomina Steel:

   - Price increase of 100 VND per kilogram for various types of rods and coils (excluding VAT).

   - Effective date: From September 21, 2023.

   - Applicable locations: Applicable to all of Ho Chi Minh City and its branches.

 4. Southern Steel Announcement:

   - Additional price increase of 100 VND per kilogram for steel rods (110 VND including VAT).

   - Effective date: From September 23, 2023.
