2.     Imported scrap market: Vietnam’s Imported scrap is trending lower than domestic prices in the general situation of international scrap. The price trends of  domestic markets and import markets may be opposite in the near future.

3.     Imported HRC market: The price of HRC around $950-955 per tonne of CIF, Formosa's price has a competitive advantage over the import price. In contrast, Offers for Russia and India tend to increase . China's Current offer is high and even accompanied with tax risks

4.     Domestic HRC market: Fluctuating HRC inputs continue to cause difficulties for domestic enterprises. In fact, after a slight downward correction at the beginning of the week in the Southern market, HRC prices nationwide basically went sideways. Some small businesses also have slight price adjustments. With the current developments of the market, the possibility of HRC price will have a slight correction after August 15th .

China's average import price of embryos with ASEAN countries, mainly Vietnam and Indonesia, decreased by $30 a tonne,  the price is $690 per tonne this week.

6.     Domestic billet market: The domestic billet market saw a slight downward trend in the first half of the week. By the end of August 10, medium-frequency embryos tended to trade around the mark of 14,500-14,700 VND/kg, down 200 VND/kg compared to last weekend, but adjusted to increase in the second half of the week 100 VND/kg and tended to go sideways with less exciting transactions.
